Field Questions

What customers ask before they call.

Q.01What does Sidewinders LLC do?

+

Sidewinders LLC is an industrial electromechanical repair company. We provide industrial motor repair, motor rewind services, hydro generator services, generator maintenance, generator testing, generator inspection, generator engineering, rotor repair, stator repair, salient pole rebuilding, and generator refurbishment for utility and industrial customers across the western United States.

Q.02Where are your shops located?

+

Corporate offices in Bluffdale, Utah with full-scale repair shops in Magna, UT (Motor Services Division) and Draper, UT, plus our dedicated Rotor Pole Center. We dispatch field crews across Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona.

Q.03What industries do you support?

+

Hydroelectric utilities, power generation, mining and aggregates, oil and gas, water and wastewater, pulp and paper, manufacturing, and federal power authorities. Our generator reliability services, power plant maintenance, and utility generator services support both planned outages and emergency response.

Q.04Do you provide root cause analysis when a motor or generator fails?

+

Yes. Root cause analysis is included on every major repair. Documented electrical, mechanical, and insulation testing identifies the failure mode before the rewind so we eliminate repeat failures.
